May 13, 2004 -- The Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority (REMSA) will be putting their Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics through an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC). The course will be held during the week of May 17 through 21, 2004. The course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to operate their ambulances in a safe and efficient manner. Both seasoned and new ambulance drivers will partake in the course. The participants will spend the morning in a classroom setting at REMSA before going to a cone course at Don Mello Sports Complex in Sparks to test their ability behind the wheel of an ambulance. REMSA requires it employees to take the class once every two years. |
