REMSA Announces September Events

September 4, 2002 - The Regional EMS Authority (REMSA) annonced today its September vents. Those wishing more information can contact REMSA at the numbers listed with the event.

Saturday, September 9
An Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) recertification class will be available for experienced providers only at REMSA located at 450 Edison Way, Reno, Nevada. Fees include tuition $35 and books $30. Limited class space is available. Please call Kristi Smith at 858-5700 ext. 150 to register.

Saturday, September 14
“Point of Impact” child safety seat inspection and replacement checkpoint will be held at Paramount Auto Body located at 2570 Tachino in Reno, Nevada from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. For more information contact REMSA at 858-KIDS (5437).

Wednesday, September 18
“Healthcare Provider CPR“ course is held the third Wednesday of every month and will be held at REMSA, 450 Edison Way in Reno, Nevada from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. Fee is $20. Limited space is available. Currently September’s class is full, please contact REMSA at 858-5700 to register to register for the October date.

Saturday, September 21
“Heartsaver Friends and Family” course is held the third Saturday of every month and will be held at REMSA, 450 Edison Way in Reno, Nevada from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Fee is $20. Limited space is available. Please contact REMSA at 858-5700 to register.

Saturday, September 28
“Point of Impact” child safety seat inspection and replacement checkpoint will be held at Babies R Us located at 4813 Kietzke Lane in Reno, Nevada from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information contact REMSA at 858-KIDS (5437).

REMSA KIDCARE Babysitter Training Class
Training available for youths 11 – 16 years old interested in babysitting. Classes are held every other month and include CPR, first aid, and handling emergency situations. Fee for the course is $20. Limited space is available. Please call 858-KIDS (5437) to register.
