All businesses who participated and supported the fourth annual REMSA
(Regional
Emergency Medical Services Authority) Point of Impact Charity Golf
Tournament. Holes sponsors included: Title sponsor Saint Marys
Health Network, KTVN News Channel 2, Athletics Unlimited, Bank of America,
Barnard Vogler & Co., Cupit Milligan Ogden & Williams, Don
Mackey Architect, Hanger Prosthetics, Hometown Health, Lucini/Parish
Insurance, Microflex, Northern Nevada Medical Center, Outback Steakhouse
of Reno, Philips Medical (maker of Automatic External Defibrillators),
Q&D Construction, REMSA, Rocky Mountain Helicopters, Washoe Credit
Union, and Zoll Medical Corporation. All businesses who donated prizes
and in-kind donations included: ArrowCreek Country Club, Century Theaters,
Famous Murphys, Graeagle Land & Water Company, Napa Sonoma,
Nextel Communications, Northstar at Tahoe, Pinocchios Restaurant,
State Farm Insurance, TGI Fridays, The Siena Hotel, Spa & Casino,
UNR Bookstore, SAFE KIDS Washoe County, Western Nevada Supply, and
Wild Island.
Due to the contributions of these businesses,
REMSA raised $28,000 from the charity golf tournament to support the
Point of Impact child safety seat and replacement program this year.
The Point of Impact child safety seat inspection and replacement program
has regularly hosted checkpoints where safety seats are inspected for
correct installation and usage for over five years. Car seats and booster
seats found to be unsafe or on a national or manufacturers recall
list are removed, destroyed and replaced at reduced costs and/or free
of charge to qualifying families. |
