February 18, 2002 - REMSA (Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority) has promoted Sue Moore to the position of Clinical Nurse Specialist. REMSAs Clinical Nurse Specialist position requires a Masters degree in Nursing as well as specialized education. Moore has been a flight nurse for Care Flight since May 2001 and has been a registered nurse since 1973. Clinical Nurse Specialists have to be proficient in 4 areas: Education, Research, Leadership, and Clinical Expertise. Moore received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nevada Renos Orvis School of Nursing in 1985 and her Master of Science in Nursing in 1989. From 1977 until 2001, Moore served her community at Washoe Medical Center, where she progressed from Staff Nurse to Clinical Nurse Specialist. REMSA is a private, non-profit organization providing the region with advanced life support paramedic ambulance services, the Care Flight emergency medical helicopter program and accredited emergency medical dispatch services. REMSA and Care Flight provide guaranteed response times and high quality patient care with no taxpayer support or other subsidies. |
