H1N1 Response
REMSA has been monitoring and responding to the influenza A (H1N1) (Swine Flu) pandemic since the outbreak was identified. As the incidences of flu-like symptoms has decreased sharply in this area, REMSA has de-escalated our response procedures and have discontinued screening 911 callers for symptoms that are indicative of an influenza A (H1N1) flu infection. However, REMSA in conjunction with the Washoe County Health District, will continue to monitor influenza A (H1N1) flu cases utilizing our FirstWatch® monitoring system.
REMSA will continue to up date this page as more information becomes available.
