REMSA provides one of the leading vocational Paramedic Programs in northern Nevada. The program is for students who desire vocational education with the career goal to become an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic. All phases of the program, didactic, clinical and field practicum, are provided for the student within the Reno-Sparks area.

Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be eligible to take the Nevada State EMS Division Paramedic Exam and/or the National Registry of EMTs Paramedic Exam.

This program meets and/or exceeds all 1998 US Department of Transportation standards for EMT-Paramedic curriculum content and hours, and also meets/exceeds the California State EMS Department minimum standards. The program is 1150 hours in length (approximately 11 months) and is based on specific objectives for the didactic, clinical, and field phases of the program.

For those individuals who are currently Paramedics, REMSA also offers a CCEMTP Course through the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). For more information about REMSA’s Paramedic Program or the CCEMTP Program contact Casey Quinlan at (775) 858-5700 ext. 162 or click here.
