On July 20th, REMSA and Care Flight received re-accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems for another three years, the maximum possible.

Welcome to the REMSA (Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority) website. REMSA is located in Reno, Nevada and is the exclusive ground and helicopter ambulance provider for Washoe County, including the Cities of Sparks and Reno. REMSA's Care Flight helicopter also serves all of Northern Nevada and Northeastern California.
REMSA provides many services besides ambulance transport, including:
- Special Operations teams
- Special Events medical coverage
- Wheelchair transportation via Med-Express Transport
- Ground ambulance coverage for Lassen County, California via SEMSA
- Injury prevention via Safe Kids of Washoe County
- Internal and external medical education
- Multiple community outreach programs
REMSA is one of only a few ambulance services accredited by CAMTS, CAAS and NAED.
